Get ready to be swept off your feet! Pacific Ballroom Dance (PBD) is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated Winter Concert, “Only Love,” returning to the stage at the Auburn Performing Arts Center on December 3rd and 4th at 7pm. After nearly two years away from their beloved Auburn stage, located at 702 4th St. Northeast, students from ages 3 to adult are eagerly preparing for opening night. This heartwarming event will also feature special guest performances by Amateur Championship American Smooth Competitors Adam Lee and Rachel Ma, and Professional American Smooth Competitors Landon and Hannah Anderson, promising an evening of exceptional dance artistry.
At a time when opinions and divisions often dominate, Pacific Ballroom Dance’s “Only Love” concert offers a refreshing and uplifting theme. “We are increasingly surrounded by a culture full of opinions, judgment, and division. The theme, ‘Only Love’, celebrates a path forward, a way we can heal our world/community and build meaningful relationships with each other, through kindness, grace, respect, and love. It’s the greatest gift we can give this season, love. The dancers and staff are excited to share their hard work and artistry with an audience,” shares Katie Mecham, PBD Artistic Director. The concert aims to convey a powerful message of unity and compassion through the expressive language of dance.
Prepare to be captivated by over ten Pacific Ballroom Dance formation teams as they showcase a diverse range of Latin and Ballroom dance styles. From the passionate rhythms of Latin dances to the elegant grace of Ballroom, the performances are designed to touch your heart and uplift your spirits. Adding to the excitement, PreTeen dancer and Team Captain, David Owen, expressed the collective enthusiasm: “The best memories are always made at concert when you’re with your friends. I’m so excited! It’s always where we’ve had our concerts and we haven’t been there for so long.” The return to the Auburn Performing Arts Center holds special significance for the students and the PBD community.
