Understanding the tuition and payment policies is a crucial step when enrolling in any dance program. At Dda Dance Academy, we strive to make our policies clear and convenient for all our students and families. This document outlines our tuition structure, payment plans, and important financial information for the academic year.
Yearly Tuition Overview
Our yearly tuition is designed to provide exceptional dance education throughout the academic year, typically ranging from $699 to $800 for one class per week. The exact tuition fee can vary based on the specific dance class, its duration, and the program level. This tuition covers approximately 29-32 scheduled dance classes during the school year, which includes essential events like picture day and dress rehearsals. Please note that fitness classes and our specialized Tiny Tappers program may have different schedules and tuition structures. For detailed tuition information specific to your desired class, please refer to our program catalog or contact our administration.
Convenient Payment Options
To accommodate different family needs, DDA Dance Academy offers two primary payment plans:
Option 1: Payment in Full (Annual Payment) with Discount
For families who prefer to handle tuition in a single payment, we offer a full payment option. Payment in full is due upon registration and must be completed before September 18th. We accept cash or checks for full payments. Families completing full payment registration before September 23rd are eligible for a 2.5% discount on the total yearly tuition. Please be aware that this discount does not apply to our Tiny Tappers program, 10 or 15-week programs, adult programs, or our music & movement program.
Option 2: 10-Installment Payment Plan
For greater flexibility, DDA Dance Academy provides a 10-installment payment plan. This plan allows families to spread tuition costs over ten monthly installments. Tuition payments are due on the 1st of each month, starting from the month of registration. To ensure timely payments, all accounts participating in the installment plan are required to set up autopay. Autopay accounts may be processed at any point between the 1st and 4th of each month. Upon registration for the installment plan, payments #1, #9, and #10, along with the registration fee, are due immediately. We accept credit, debit cards, and ACH (Automated Clearing House) payments for the installment plan.
Additional Fees Explained
In addition to the yearly tuition, there are a few additional fees to be aware of:
Extended Class Fee
For classes that extend beyond the standard class duration, a one-time extended class fee is applied. For classes that are 1.25 hours long, the extended class fee is $157 per year. For classes that are 1.5 hours long, the extended class fee is $307 per year. This fee is non-refundable and is due at the time of registration.
Late Payment Fee
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes lead to delayed payments. However, to maintain smooth operations, a late fee of $10 per month will be applied to tuition payments not received within the grace period. We offer a 7-day grace period, meaning payments are considered late after the 7th of each month.
Credit Card Processing Fee
Please note that all purchases made using a credit card are subject to a processing fee. This fee ranges from 3.5% to 3.75% of the transaction amount and is applied by the payment processor, not DDA Dance Academy.
Returned Check Fee
In the event of a returned check, a fee of $45 will be charged to cover bank charges and administrative costs. To avoid this fee, please ensure sufficient funds are available when submitting checks.
Pro-rated Tuition and Make-Up Class Policy
DDA Dance Academy understands that students may enroll after the start of the academic year. Tuition will only be pro-rated for enrollments beginning November 1st of the program year. For students enrolling between September and November 1st, we offer the opportunity to make up for missed classes. Dancers enrolling during this period can schedule make-up classes for those missed from the beginning of the school year. The make-up classes must be completed within 4 months from the student’s enrollment date.
Payment Methods and Account Requirements
To streamline the payment process and ensure secure transactions, DDA Dance Academy requires all accounts to have a valid credit card, debit card, or ACH information on file. For families on the 10-installment plan, the monthly installment amount, as well as costume fees and other applicable charges (for company dancers, including company expenses and performance fees), will be automatically debited from the card or ACH on file between the 1st and 4th of each month.
For families who choose to pay by check, please make checks payable to “DDA Dance Academy.” It is essential to write the dancer’s name in the memo section of the check to ensure proper credit to the correct account. Please be advised that checks are not accepted for tuition payments after April 2025.
Account Status and Class Participation
Maintaining an up-to-date account is essential for dancers to fully participate in classes, rehearsals, and recitals at DDA Dance Academy. Students with outstanding balances may be restricted from participation. DDA Dance Academy reserves the right to drop any student from enrollment due to non-payment of tuition.
Non-Refundable Tuition Policy
Please be aware that all tuition payments made to DDA Dance Academy are non-refundable. We encourage families to carefully consider their commitment before enrolling in our programs.
We hope this comprehensive overview clarifies our tuition and payment policies at DDA Dance Academy. We are committed to providing exceptional dance education at a fair value. If you have any further questions or require additional clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our administration team. We look forward to welcoming you to DDA Dance Academy!
