Week 4: Halloween Thrills:
- Taped: August 10, 2018

- Halloween High-Scorers: Miles & Rylee continued their streak of impressive performances, topping the leaderboard once again on Halloween Night of Dancing With The Stars Junior Season 1.
- Tough Goodbye: Another couple was eliminated, reducing the competition to 7 couples. This elimination was described as “kind of a tough one,” hinting at the emotional stakes as the season progresses.

Week 5: Junior’s Choice – Creative Freedom:

- First Perfect Score Alert!: Ariana & Artyon blew the roof off the ballroom, earning the first “10” of Dancing With The Stars Junior Season 1!
- One Less Couple: Another elimination occurred, leaving just 6 couples in the running for the championship.
- Junior’s Vision: For “Junior’s Choice Night,” each junior celebrity selected the song and dance style. Ariana chose hip-hop, and she and Artyon delivered an electrifying performance to “Rolex” by Ayo & Teyo. Judge Val Chmerkovskiy was so impressed he jokingly offered them his own Rolex watch as a prize!
Week 6: Giving Thanks – Heartfelt Performances:
- Taped: August 17, 2018
- Airing: November 11, 2018
- Foxtrot Fame: Sky & JT achieved the high score of the week, earning an impressive 29/30 for their elegant foxtrot in Dancing With The Stars Junior Season 1.
- Emotional Farewell: Another couple was eliminated, leaving 5 couples to advance. This elimination was described as a “heartbreaker,” suggesting an emotionally charged episode.
- Gratitude in Motion: “Giving Thanks” Night featured dances dedicated to people and things the couples were grateful for. Stevie Wonder was in the audience to support Mandla, who performed a foxtrot. Maddie Ziegler made a special appearance during her sister Kenzie’s samba. Week 7: 90s Night & Quarterfinals – Time Machine Fun:

- Perfect 10 Alert!: Miles & Rylee were the only couple to receive a perfect 10 score this week, solidifying their position as frontrunners in Dancing With The Stars Junior Season 1.
- Final Five Becomes Final Four: One couple was eliminated, narrowing the competition down to the final 4 couples for the semifinals.
- Back to the 90s (and maybe not?): “90s Night” (or “Time Machine Night”) featured a mix of dance styles. Kenzie reportedly danced jazz to “Call Me Maybe” (a slightly anachronistic choice!). Other styles included paso doble, jive, quickstep, and Charleston.

- Perfect Scores All Around!: Kenzie & Sage achieved a perfect score of 30, but remarkably, no judge gave a score lower than a “9” to any couple. The semifinals showcased incredible talent across the board.
- No Eliminations – Finale Bound!: In a thrilling twist, no couple was eliminated in the semifinals! All 4 remaining couples advanced to the Dancing With The Stars Junior Season 1 finale.
- Duets and Individual Dances: Each couple performed an individual dance and a team dance (duet). Sources indicate that all four finalists have the potential to win. The finalist teams are hinted at: Kenzie/Sage/Gleb, two other female celeb/male junior pro/male mentor teams, and one male celeb/female junior pro/female mentor team. Scores and votes from the semifinals will carry over to the finale. Duet pairings were Kenzie/Sage with the last male celeb/his junior pro, and the two other female celebs/their junior pros together.
Week 9: Grand Finale – Crowning the Champion:
- Taped: August 25, 2018
- Airing: December 2, 2018
- Christmas Finale Magic: The finale embraced a Christmas theme, similar to the regular season finales.
- Freestyles and More: Couples performed a freestyle routine (all Christmas-themed) and one other dance. Kenzie & Sage’s freestyle was choreographed by an outside choreographer.
- Winner Announced!: Only the winner of Dancing With The Stars Junior Season 1 was announced – no runners-up or placements were revealed. The winner was a female celebrity paired with a male junior pro and male mentor.
- Celebration Time: The kids enjoyed an after-party at the studio with cake and pizza before heading home. Many had been homeschooled by tutors during rehearsals, so the day after the finale marked their first official day back at school.
