Discover the Joy of Dance Fitness at Pulse Dance Fitness Studio

Hi, I’m [Founder’s Name], the founder and owner of Pulse Dance Fitness Studio. As a locally owned and woman-founded fitness studio right here in West Des Moines, Iowa, dance and fitness are my passions, and I’m thrilled to share them with you.

From a young age, growing up in West Des Moines, dance and tumbling were my life. Like many young dancers, I was initially drawn to the sparkly costumes, but my passion quickly grew into something much deeper. I spent countless hours in my basement choreographing routines and honing my skills. I had the privilege of training with top-notch instructors both locally and nationally in various dance styles, including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Tap, and Tumbling. My dance team and I traveled the country for competitions, and I even had the honor of being Co-Captain of the Valley Dance Team the year we brought home the State Championship title – a memory I cherish with one of my closest friends to this day.

While I pursued a Bachelor of Architecture Degree at Iowa State University, my intense focus on academics led me away from dance and regular exercise. During this period, I noticed a significant dip in my overall happiness. It wasn’t until after graduation, when I took my first Cardio Dance fitness class, that I truly felt like myself again. I was instantly hooked! It was like my soul had reawakened. Shortly after, I became a certified Zumba instructor and immersed myself in the world of dance fitness.

Over the past decade, my career path took me to Chicago, Boston, and eventually back to Des Moines. Throughout these moves, I continued to expand my fitness certifications and refine my teaching techniques at some of the nation’s leading studios. Through these experiences, I developed my own unique style and brand of dance fitness, and I am incredibly excited to bring it to you at my very own studio – a dream I’ve held for many years! What truly fuels my passion is supporting and encouraging other women to become their best, healthiest, and happiest selves. That’s the most rewarding part of what I do.

In 2016, I married my amazing husband, Alex, in Salem, MA, where we were living at the time. Alex, a Boston native (complete with the accent!), and I are now proud parents to two adorable little girls. They are my daily inspiration, and I want to show them firsthand what women can achieve through hard work and big dreams. Pulse Dance Fitness Studio is my happy place, and I am so excited to share that happiness with you and make it your happy place too!
