попасть на UDA National Dance Team Championship in 2024, teams must fulfill two key requirements: Varsity Spirit/NFHS Squad Credentialing and earning a UDA Nationals bid. Let’s break down how your dance team can achieve these qualifications.
1. UDA Camp Qualification: Your Path to Credentialing and Nationals Bid
UDA Camp serves as a crucial step for teams aiming for the 2024 UDA Dance Nationals. At these camps, teams will navigate the NFHS Squad Credentialing process and have multiple avenues to secure their Nationals bid. Here’s how you can qualify at camp:
- Home Routine Trophy Winners: Teams that win a Home Routine trophy at a UDA Camp with five or more members automatically receive a bid.
- Superior Trophy Winners: Achieving a Superior trophy at a UDA Camp with at least five members also grants your team a bid to Nationals.
- Varsity Branded Camp Attendees: Teams attending any Varsity Branded camp with a minimum of five members have an opportunity to qualify, but they must secure their bid at a UDA Regional Competition.
It’s important to note that for bid eligibility, 75% of your team members (with a minimum of five participants) need to be credentialed for a Varsity Spirit National Championship. To be eligible for these qualifications, teams must attend a UDA overnight camp, day camp, or home camp that spans at least two days. Superior trophies at overnight and day camps are awarded based on athlete evaluations across all routine evaluations. Home camps require each athlete to be evaluated on a minimum of two camp routines to qualify for a Superior trophy.
Start your journey to nationals at a UDA Camp or connect with your State Director to arrange a Home Camp.
Important Reminder: Only UDA Camps lasting two or more days provide both Varsity Spirit/NFHS Squad Credentialing and bids for UDA Nationals qualification.
2. Varsity Spirit/NFHS Squad Credentialing Program
The Varsity Spirit/NFHS Squad Credentialing program is a separate but necessary step to participate in the Uda Dance Nationals 2024. This program ensures that teams meet specific safety and training standards. For detailed information on the Squad Credentialing Program and its requirements, please reach out to your State Director. They can provide comprehensive guidance and support to ensure your team is fully credentialed.
3. UDA Regional Championships: Another Path to Nationals
UDA Regional Championships offer another exciting opportunity to qualify for the 2024 UDA National Dance Team Championship. By achieving a placement trophy at a UDA Regional event before December 31st, 2023, your team can earn a bid to Nationals.
Find out more about UDA Competitions and Regional events and get in touch with your state director to explore regional qualification.
Teams aiming to secure a bid for NDTC at a UDA regional must also complete the Varsity Spirit/NFHS Credentialing program. Ensuring both credentialing and bid requirements are met will pave your team’s way to the UDA Dance Nationals 2024!
