“I loved the classes at TDA because I became the dancer I am today,” Dara reflects, emphasizing the profound impact of the dance academy on her technical development. However, her appreciation extends beyond the rigorous training. “But I think more importantly, I loved (and continue to love) that TDA was a family, where everyone mattered and where you could feel supported by one another, no matter what level you were,” she adds. This sense of community and belonging, fostered by the dance academy, provided a nurturing environment where Dara could thrive both as a dancer and as an individual. Upon graduating high school, Dara’s pursuit of artistic excellence led her to New York University (NYU), where she enrolled in the prestigious musical theatre program. Even in this highly competitive environment, Dara’s dance background, cultivated at the dance academy, set her apart. While at NYU, she continued to refine her skills with dance classes three days a week, alongside vocal and acting training. Her extensive training at the dance academy had equipped her with a level of proficiency that made her stand out amongst her peers. “I truly have TDA to thank for what I learned while I was growing up from dance classes to competitions,” Dara acknowledges. “It has absolutely continued to help me along in my career. I am always thinking back to my roots as a dancer, because when it comes down to it, that foundation is everything,” she asserts, highlighting the enduring value of her early education at the dance academy.
Today, Dara is a successful actor based in New York City, represented by Gregg Baker Management. Her career is a dynamic blend of performance and creation, with ongoing auditions and continuous training to hone her skills.
