Phoenix Dance Studio, formerly known as LeRoux School of the Arts, has been igniting a passion for dance in the community since 2009. Founded under the direction of Miss Susie, what began as a small dance studio in the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken has blossomed into a thriving hub for dancers of all ages and abilities in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, PA.
Initially, our dance program nurtured around 130 students, with a dedicated competition team of 30 dancers. However, in 2017, a significant change occurred when the Plymouth Square Shopping Center was sold. Faced with limited time, Phoenix Dance Studio made a pivotal move to Blue Bell, establishing itself anew from Miss Susie’s home. This transition, initially envisioned as temporary, propelled us into an era of remarkable growth. We now proudly welcome nearly 250 students to our studio classes and engage with over 2000 participants in our diverse camps and after-school programs.
Relocating to Blue Bell has opened up incredible opportunities for Phoenix Dance Studio to deeply connect with the local community. This move enabled us to expand and enhance our programs, making them more accessible, affordable, inclusive, and family-friendly. This transformative period truly gave rise to “Phoenix” Arts, symbolizing our ability to rise above challenges and emerge stronger.
At Phoenix Dance Studio, our core mission is to provide enriching opportunities for students of all ages to explore and appreciate the performing arts, with a special emphasis on dance and fitness. Our comprehensive class offerings cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels, including:
- Ballet: Foundation and grace for all dance styles.
- Tap: Rhythmic footwork and musicality.
- Jazz: Dynamic and energetic modern dance forms.
- Modern: Expressive and contemporary movement.
- Hip Hop: Urban and contemporary street dance styles.
- Theater: Combining dance with theatrical performance.
- Acro: Acrobatic dance elements for strength and flexibility.
These classes are available for both children and adults, ensuring everyone has a chance to discover the joy of dance. Recognizing the diverse needs of our community, Phoenix Dance Studio is proud to offer specialized programs such as All Boys Classes, creating a supportive environment for male dancers, and dedicated Special Needs Services, ensuring dance is accessible to everyone. For our youngest dancers, our Toddler classes introduce the wonders of dance, music, and tumbling in a playful and nurturing setting.
