Kyle Richards has shared her feelings regarding her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky’s recent actions. In a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Kyle, aged 55, discussed her relationship with Mauricio, 54, after her fellow cast member Sutton Stracke brought up an interesting detail. Sutton revealed that Mauricio had replaced a photo of Kyle with one featuring Emma Slater, his partner from Dancing with the Stars. This revelation occurred during this week’s episode of RHOBH.
“Didn’t love that,” Kyle admitted, expressing her initial reaction to the photo swap. She continued, attempting to see Mauricio’s perspective, “I understand to a certain degree because — no, I only understand part of this, hold on — because that’s his desk, and right in front of his face is an 8×10 of him kissing my cheek, staring at him all day. So I can understand him not wanting to stare at that if it hurt him or, you know, was difficult for him and putting that away.”

Despite her attempt at empathy, Kyle questioned the necessity of the replacement photo. “But did you need to put up the photo on the shelf? … It was a really dumb thing to do, honestly,” she stated, highlighting her true feelings about Mauricio’s choice to display a picture with his Dancing with the Stars partner.
When questioned if she and Mauricio had discussed the situation, Kyle confessed, “I still haven’t,” but she did mention that the Emma Slater photo was no longer in place.
The topic arose during a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when Sutton shared the information with Kathy Hilton and Erika Jayne, revealing Kyle’s disclosure about Mauricio replacing their photo with one of him and Emma.
“I mean, at that point for me, I’m like, ‘Bye! Bye, Mauricio!’ but I don’t think Kyle did that,” Sutton commented to the cameras, expressing her strong reaction on Kyle’s behalf. “I think she just kind of was hurt and still hopeful. Hurt and hopeful.” Sutton’s reaction underscores the perceived insensitivity of Mauricio’s action in light of their separation.

News of Kyle and Mauricio’s separation first broke in July 2023, as confirmed by a source close to the couple to PEOPLE. Shortly after, Mauricio joined season 32 of Dancing with the Stars, where he was partnered with Emma Slater, who had also separated from her husband Sasha Farber in 2022.
Throughout their time on Dancing with the Stars, Mauricio and Emma’s close relationship sparked dating rumors. They were seen getting cozy on several occasions, and in October 2023, photos emerged of them holding hands and laughing before having dinner in Beverly Hills. These moments, captured during Mauricio’s Dancing with the Stars journey, added fuel to speculation about their relationship.
During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen addressed the rumors directly with Kyle, asking if she believed there was something romantic happening between Mauricio and Emma.
“That was very hard to see. Yeah that was, I mean, yes, that hurt my feelings,” Kyle admitted, referencing the hand-holding photos and the speculation surrounding Mauricio and his Dancing with the Stars partner. “I love him very much and we are amicable but that really did hurt me.”
Kyle further elaborated, “The things is this: I don’t know if anything’s happened yet but obviously there’s something there,” indicating her suspicion despite the denials.
Emma and Mauricio have publicly denied any dating rumors in October 2023. Mauricio stated firmly that they were “not dating,” emphasizing their friendship. Despite the rumors and Kyle’s hurt feelings, Mauricio and Emma maintain they are just friends who bonded during their time together on Dancing with the Stars.
