This diagnosis indicates that the cancer is likely to grow and spread at a faster rate, according to the American Cancer Society. It was the discovery of a lump that led Hyland to schedule a mammogram. Despite having a clear mammogram result just eight months prior, the new mammogram and subsequent sonogram revealed a mass. “I had just had one done eight months prior and the results came back clean. However, this new mammogram and sonogram did not, it came back showing a mass,” Kelly Hyland explained.
