Planning your child’s summer activities in NYC? Downtown Dance Factory offers an exciting Summer Program, and understanding the fees and policies is key. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know for Summer 2024 at Downtown Dance Factory in NYC.
Summer Fees & Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $100 per week is required upon registration for the Downtown Dance Factory Summer Program. The remaining balance for summer tuition will be charged on June 1st. Registrations after June 1st require full payment at the time of registration. Please note that there are no refunds for withdrawals from the Summer Program, and absences do not qualify for refunds or make-up classes.
Summer Discounts
Early bird registration for the Downtown Dance Factory Summer Program, opening in early February, comes with benefits! Register by April 1st to receive a 15% discount on your summer tuition. For families enrolling in multiple weeks, a 5% discount is applied to the 2nd week and each subsequent week. Sibling discounts are also available, with a 5% saving for siblings registered within the same week. Discounts are automatically applied to your account after registration.
Session Transferability
Downtown Dance Factory offers flexibility with summer session dates. Sessions can be interchanged if space is available. However, please be aware that classes are not transferable between different dancers.
Trials & Make-ups
Trial classes are not available for the Half-Day or Full-Day Summer Programs at Downtown Dance Factory. Trial classes are offered for our younger dancers in the TutuTots program. Similarly, make-up classes are not offered for the Half-Day or Full-Day Summer Program. Make-up classes are possible for TutuTots classes, subject to availability, but cannot be carried over to the next semester.
Attire
Downtown Dance Factory has a relaxed dress code for the Summer Program. Comfortable clothing and sneakers are suitable for all classes. Dance attire and shoes for jazz, ballet, and tap are optional and can be purchased at our retail store.
Dismissal Policy
For dancers permitted to leave Downtown Dance Factory independently, parent/guardian authorization is mandatory. Click here to provide authorization.
Photo Release
Downtown Dance Factory may capture photographs and videos of students during classes and performances for promotional purposes. If you wish to exclude your child from Downtown Dance Factory’s advertising materials, please send an email to [email protected]. We will note your preference in your family account.
