Whether your child is taking their first dance steps or is an experienced dancer, our summer program provides a fun and enriching environment to explore the world of dance. To help you prepare for an amazing summer with us, here’s everything you need to know about our summer program fees, discounts, and policies.
Understanding Summer Program Fees at Downtown Dance Factory
To secure your spot in our popular summer program, a $100 non-refundable deposit per week is required at the time of registration. This deposit ensures your child’s place in their chosen class and helps us manage class sizes effectively to provide personalized attention to each dancer.
The remaining balance of your summer program fees will be automatically charged on June 1st. This allows us to streamline the payment process and ensures a smooth start to your summer dance experience. Please note that if you are registering for our summer program after June 1st, the full tuition fee will be charged at the time of registration.
We understand that plans can change, but please be aware that Downtown Dance Factory does not offer refunds for withdrawals from the Summer Program. Similarly, we are unable to provide refunds or make-up classes for any absences during the summer program. We encourage you to check your summer schedules carefully before registering to ensure full participation and enjoyment of our classes.

Early Bird Discount: Register Early and Save!
Be an early bird and save! Register for our Summer Program by April 1st and you will automatically receive a generous 15% discount on your summer tuition fees. This is our way of rewarding early planners and helping you secure the best possible price for a summer of dance fun. Registration for the Summer Program typically opens in early February, so mark your calendars and take advantage of this limited-time offer!
Multi-Week Discount: Dance More, Save More!
The more you dance, the more you save! Enroll your child for 2 or more weeks of summer dance and you’ll save 5% on the tuition fee for the 2nd week and each subsequent week. This discount is perfect for families looking to immerse their children in dance throughout the summer and experience the full benefits of our comprehensive program.
Sibling Discount: Share the Dance Fun with Family!
Dancing is even more fun with siblings! When you register siblings in the same week of our summer program, you’ll receive a 5% discount for each sibling. This makes it easier and more affordable for families with multiple children to enjoy the joy of dance together at Downtown Dance Factory.
All applicable discounts will be automatically applied to your account after you complete the registration process. You don’t need to do anything extra – our system will calculate and apply your savings, ensuring you receive the best possible price for your summer dance experience.
Flexibility and Policies for a Smooth Summer
Summer Session Transferability: Adapting to Your Summer Schedule
We understand that summer schedules can be unpredictable. That’s why sessions are interchangeable, space permitting. If your summer plans change, you can request to switch sessions to better fit your needs. However, please note that classes are not transferable among dancers. Each registration is specific to the enrolled child.
Trials: Discovering the Perfect Class
While we are unable to offer trials during our Half-Day or Full-Day Summer Program, we understand the importance of finding the right fit. Trial classes are available for our younger dancers in the TutuTots program. This allows our youngest students to experience the magic of dance in a supportive environment before committing to a full session.
Make-Up Classes: Staying on Track
To maintain the structure and progression of our Summer Program, we are unable to offer make-up classes for our Half-Day or Full-Day Summer Program. However, make-up classes are available for our TutuTots dancers, space permitting. These make-up classes must be used within the current semester and cannot be rolled over into the next semester.
Preparing for Summer Dance: Attire and Dismissal
Attire: Dress Comfortably and Be Ready to Move!
For our Summer Program, there is no strict uniform requirement. We want our dancers to feel comfortable and ready to move! Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers that allow for ease of movement. If your child already has dance attire and shoes (jazz, ballet, tap), they are welcome to wear them, but it’s not mandatory. Dance clothing and shoes can also be purchased at our retail store located within Downtown Dance Factory, offering convenience for those who wish to acquire them. However, purchasing dance attire is entirely optional for the summer program.
Dismissal: Ensuring Safe Departure
The safety of our dancers is our top priority. Dancers who have permission to leave Downtown Dance Factory on their own require explicit parent/guardian authorization. If you wish to grant your child permission to leave independently after class, please complete our online authorization form. Please click here to provide authorization. This form ensures we have documented consent and can ensure a safe dismissal process for all students.
Photo Release: Capturing the Joy of Dance
Downtown Dance Factory loves to capture the energy and excitement of our classes and performances! Throughout the summer program, we may take photographs and/or videos which include our enrolled students during classes and performances. These visuals help us showcase the wonderful experiences at Downtown Dance Factory and may be used in our advertising, promotional materials, and on our website to share the joy of dance with a wider audience.
We respect your privacy preferences. If you DO NOT want your child to be included in Downtown Dance Factory advertising / promotional materials / website, etc., please inform us. Simply send us an email to [email protected] indicating your preference. We will promptly mark it in your family account to ensure your child is not included in any promotional visuals.
