Don’t Miss a Beat: Introducing Mobile Connect
Imagine being right in the heart of the music, feeling every vibration and rhythm as if you were on stage yourself, experiencing the ‘Dirty Dancing’ of the sound in its purest form. Sennheiser Mobile Connect makes this possible by turning your smartphone into a personal assisted listening device. Whether you use headphones or hearing aids, this app allows you to customize your audio experience, ensuring crystal-clear sound tailored to your needs.
Easy Steps to Immersive Sound
Getting set up with Mobile Connect is simple and straightforward, so you can quickly dive into the performance:
- Installation: Begin by downloading the Sennheiser Mobile Connect app. Find it on the App Store for Apple devices or the Play Store for Android devices.
- WiFi Connection: Once inside the theater, connect your device to the GalaPro WiFi network. This network is specifically for theater guests and will only be accessible within the venue.
- Open the App: Launch the MobileConnect App on your smartphone or device.
- Select Channel: Look for and select the ‘Altria Theater Stage’ channel. Keep in mind that this channel will become visible only after the performance has officially started.
- Personalize Your Audio: At the bottom of your screen, you’ll find controls to adjust the audio volume. You can also fine-tune the sound by dragging the circle in the center of the screen until you achieve your perfect listening experience.
Beyond the App: Traditional Assisted Listening Options
For those who prefer traditional devices, or if you find using an app less convenient, Altria Theater also provides assisted listening devices available upon request. Simply visit the Concierge Desk, located in the Box Office Lobby on West Main Street, to borrow one. A valid driver’s license or photo ID will be required as a deposit for the equipment.
We offer two main types of receivers to cater to different preferences and needs. The most common type is the stethoset receiver, which is worn like a stethoscope and includes integrated earbuds. Alternatively, we have pendant or necklace receivers. These come with a lanyard and a standard 3.5mm (1/8″) headphone jack, making them compatible with personal headphones, T-Coil hearing aids (when used with inductive neck loops provided by the theater), cochlear implants with 3.5mm Direct Audio Input, and other devices with a standard audio input.
