Glen Echo Park, a National Park Service site, boasts not one, but three fantastic dance venues, with the Spanish Ballroom as its crown jewel. Alongside the lively Bumper Car Pavilion and the intimate Ballroom Back Room, the Spanish Ballroom stands as a testament to decades of dance and community. Our social dances are designed for everyone – no partner, no prior experience, just a desire to move and have fun! Each dance night begins with a beginner-friendly introductory lesson, ensuring you feel comfortable hitting the dance floor in no time. And with live music from incredible local and national bands, the energy is always high and the dance floor is always buzzing.
We host dances throughout the year, on Wednesdays through Sundays, often featuring multiple dance styles happening simultaneously across our venues. This means you can explore different rhythms and find your perfect dance style all in one place!

Bumper Car Squares – A Unique Dance Experience
Looking for a dance night with a twist? Join us for Bumper Car Squares in the Bumper Car Pavilion! Once a month, we transform this iconic space into a square dance haven. Even if you’re new to square dancing, our introductory session at 7:00 pm will have you swinging and do-si-doing like a pro. With live music from bands like The Horsenecks and talented callers like LP Kelly, it’s a night of laughter and lively movement you won’t want to miss. No special gear needed – just bring your enthusiasm!
