The Dance SU company is known for its dynamic annual concert productions, presenting two major shows each year. Audition for Dance SU: Step into the Spotlight
For those aspiring to join Dance SU, entrance auditions are a key step. These auditions, typically held on the first Monday of both the fall and spring semesters, are open to both new and returning students. Successful candidates will enroll in DANC 106 Dance Company, a 1.0 credit course that convenes on Mondays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This time is dedicated to master classes, rehearsals, and all aspects of production. Casting auditions are conducted by each choreographer to select dancers for specific pieces, allowing performers to potentially feature in one to four works each semester. Additional rehearsals are scheduled throughout the week as needed by the Artistic Director.
