Dance in the Vampire Narrative: Unveiling the First 20,000 Words

In just one week since our exciting announcement, we’ve surged forward, crafting an impressive 20,000 words for our vampire narrative! This substantial progress marks a significant step in bringing our immersive world to life. A quarter of this milestone is dedicated to the prologue, a contemporary setting where your vampire character journeys to the chilling landscapes of Svalbard. Why Svalbard? Imagine a haven where vampires convene for their half-century conclaves, bathed in the uninterrupted darkness of a month-long night. Welcome to Vampire Party Town, where an invitation might just be a dance with death!

This thrilling opening plunges you directly into the vampire experience, exploring the nuances of feeding and introducing Wolfram, your steadfast mortal companion and a captivating love interest. Wolfram’s character emerged organically during the writing process – a stoic yet subtly sassy figure, delivering dry wit that adds an intriguing dynamic. Think of a romance that playfully echoes Batman and Alfred, and you’re close to grasping their dynamic.

However, the narrative swiftly pivots in Chapter 1, the current focus of development, transporting you to New York in 1777, your character’s final days as a mortal. Here, the classic character creation process unfolds, allowing you to familiarize yourself with the environment before the core story takes hold. Within these initial 20,000 words, we’ve also included opportunities for brief personal encounters, allowing players to embody the archetypal rake should they choose. These fleeting liaisons, available with both men and women in the local brothel, are designed for player roleplaying and do not significantly influence the main plot or romance arcs.

Patreon Exclusive Peek: This week, our Patreon supporters gain exclusive access to insights into our meticulous research of 1777 New York under British occupation. Discover the unique locations of that era that you’ll be able to explore within the game, adding depth and authenticity to your dance in this historical vampire narrative.
