Drop-In Class Flexibility
We understand that life can be unpredictable, which is why all our youth, teen, and adult classes operate on a drop-in basis. This flexible system allows you to attend classes whenever your schedule permits, without the pressure of fixed schedules or missed sessions. Please note that to maintain class flow and minimize disruptions, admittance is not allowed after the first 15 minutes of class. We appreciate your understanding that there are no refunds, discounts, or exceptions to this policy.
Each class at Culture Shock San Diego offers fresh and exciting choreography every week. This ensures that you are constantly learning new moves and styles, making every visit a unique and enriching experience. You never have to worry about missing out, as each session is designed to be a standalone learning opportunity.
Affordable Class Packages
To make dancing more accessible and affordable, we offer several class package options. These packages provide significant savings compared to individual drop-in rates and encourage consistent participation in your favorite dance styles.

- Single Drop-In Class: $15 per class
- 5 Class Package: $75
- 10 Class Package: $140
- 15 Class Package: $195
- 20 Class Package: $240
*Please be aware that all numbered class packages are valid for 4 months from the date of activation.
Private Party Classes: Celebrate with Dance
Looking for a unique and energetic way to celebrate a special occasion? Culture Shock San Diego offers private party classes tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Whether it’s a hip hop birthday bash for your child, a burlesque bachelorette party, or a fun team-building event, our private classes provide an unforgettable dance experience.
Our experienced instructors can customize classes to suit any dance style and skill level, from beginner to advanced. We focus on providing the space and expert instruction for your private dance class. Please note that our facilities are primarily for dance instruction, and we do not accommodate food and drinks within the studio spaces.

- 6-10 students: $250 & up
- 11-20 students: $300 & up

Studio Rentals: Your Space to Create
Culture Shock San Diego boasts three professional studios available for rent, perfect for rehearsals, workshops, private lessons, and more. Our studios offer sprung floors and ample space to accommodate various group sizes and dance styles.
Studio Rental Rates:
- Studio 1: $60/hour (2300 sq ft, 55 dancer capacity)
- Studio 2: $50/hour (1250 sq ft, 30 dancer capacity)
- Studio 3: $40/hour (915 sq ft, 18 dancer capacity)

Payment and Policies at Culture Shock San Diego
For your convenience, Culture Shock San Diego accepts credit and debit cards only, including MC, VISA, DISCOVER, and AMEX.
Drop-in classes and class packages can be easily purchased online through our Pike13 platform at cultureshocksandiego.pike13.com, in person at our San Diego studio, or by phone during business hours at 619-324-4868.
Gift certificates are also available and can be purchased at our front desk or by emailing [email protected]. Gift certificates make a wonderful present for the dance enthusiast in your life!
CSSD Policies: Respecting the Art and the Space
Culture Shock San Diego has established policies to protect our intellectual property and ensure a respectful and safe environment for all dancers. Unauthorized recording, reproduction, or distribution of any Culture Shock San Diego materials is strictly prohibited. Similarly, posting CSSD photos or videos online without explicit permission is not allowed. Infringement of these rights may result in legal action.
Facilities Guidelines for a Positive Experience
To maintain our studio’s quality and ensure everyone’s comfort, we have a few facility guidelines:
- Parking: The parking garage is reserved for staff and faculty during their scheduled shifts. Unauthorized parking will result in towing at the owner’s expense.
- Food and Drink: Absolutely no food or drink (except bottled water) are permitted inside the dance studios, lobby, and hallways. Gum, smoking, and vaping are also prohibited on CSSD premises.
- Childcare: Childcare services are not provided. Please ensure children are supervised and do not obstruct hallways or doorways. Strollers and chairs should not block passageways.
- Pets: Pets are not allowed in or around the studio, with the exception of service dogs.
- Health: Please be considerate of others’ health. If you or your child are unwell, please refrain from attending class.
- Traffic Flow: Be mindful of traffic flow within the studio. Allow students exiting dance rooms to pass before entering. Due to class volume, we request that friends and family members observe classes from the designated seating areas on the second-floor balcony, and only if they are potential dancers.
- Personal Belongings: Culture Shock San Diego is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced items. Please avoid bringing valuables to the studio. Lost and found items are handled at the discretion of CSSD Management.
- Electronics and Wi-Fi: Electrical outlets are for staff use only. Public Wi-Fi is not available.
Class Guidelines for a Smooth Dance Experience
- Class Duration: Unless specified otherwise, all classes are 55 minutes long.
- Late Admittance: No admittance is allowed to youth, teen, or adult classes after the first 15 minutes.
- Class Packages: Class packages are non-transferable and expire four months from the purchase date.
- Refunds and Make-ups: No refunds or make-up classes are available. Please contact management for special circumstances related to your account.
- Dance Space Respect: If arriving late, please position yourself at the back of the room to avoid disrupting other students.
- Class Access: Only paid students are permitted in classes. Parents are not allowed in youth classes unless specifically invited.
- Adult Content: Adult drop-in classes may contain mature content. Children are strongly discouraged from attending unless permission is granted by management and the instructor.
- Photos/Videos: Photography and videotaping during classes are prohibited without prior permission from management and the instructor.
Cancellation Policies: Flexibility and Respect
- Standard Class Cancellation: Regularly scheduled drop-in classes may be canceled if fewer than 3 students are registered. Enrolled clients may receive auto-notifications in case of cancellation.
- Drop-in Class Cancellation by Students: Students can cancel up to 1 hour before class without penalty. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the drop-in fee or have a class deducted from their package.
- Special Programs: Cancellation policies for special programs like Master Classes, Workshops, and Summer Camps will be specified for each program. Culture Shock San Diego reserves the right to cancel any class, session, or program at any time, without prior notice.
Discounts and Studio Specials
Culture Shock San Diego is proud to offer discounts to support our community:
- Military Discount (10% Off): Military personnel and their family members receive a 10% discount on drop-in classes and numbered class packages.
- Financial Aid (50% Off): CSSD Financial Aid recipients are eligible for a 50% discount on drop-ins, class packages, and monthly unlimited packages. This discount extends to immediate family members. Financial Aid applications must be renewed annually, with approvals valid until December 31st of each calendar year.
