Youth, Teen, & Adult Class Rates
At Culture Shock Dance Center San Diego, we believe in making dance accessible and flexible. That’s why all our youth, teen, and adult classes are offered on a convenient drop-in basis. This means no long-term commitments or pre-registration hassles! Just check our schedule and join the classes that excite you.
Important Class Policies:
- To ensure a focused learning environment, please note that admittance to classes is not allowed after the first 15 minutes.
- We appreciate your understanding that all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or discounts, and exceptions cannot be made to maintain fairness and consistency for all our students.
- To keep things fresh and exciting, our talented instructors create new choreography each week for every class. So, don’t worry about missing out – each class is a new dance experience!
Payment Options for Drop-in Classes:
We offer several affordable payment options to suit your dancing frequency:
Single In-Person Studio Class:
- Drop-in Rate: $15 per class
Class Packages (Best Value!):
For those who plan to dance regularly, our class packages offer significant savings:
- 5 Class Package: $75
- 10 Class Package: $140
- 15 Class Package: $195
- 20 Class Package: $240
*Please note that all numbered class packages are valid for 4 months from the activation date. Plan your dance schedule accordingly to maximize your package benefits!
Private Party Classes: Dance the Way You Want!
Looking for a unique and memorable way to celebrate a special occasion? Culture Shock Dance Center San Diego offers private party classes perfect for:
- Birthday parties (kids and adults!)
- Bachelorette parties
- Wedding parties
- Out-of-town dance teams seeking a San Diego dance experience
- Corporate team-building events
- Or any other group event you can imagine!
We can tailor the class to your group’s needs and preferences. Choose your preferred dance style – from Hip Hop to Burlesque and everything in between – and skill level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced).
Our private party class rates cover the studio space and a dedicated instructor. Please note that we focus solely on providing an exceptional dance class experience and do not have facilities for food and drinks within the studios.

Private Party Class Rates (60-minute sessions):
- 6-10 students: $250 & up
- 11-20 students: $300 & up
- 21-30 students: $350 & up

Studio Rentals: Your Space to Create
Need a professional dance studio space for rehearsals, workshops, private lessons, photoshoots, or your own classes? Culture Shock Dance Center San Diego has three studios available for rent, each catering to different group sizes and needs:
- Studio 1: $60/hour (2300 sq ft, 55 dancer capacity) – Ideal for large groups, workshops, and events.
- Studio 2: $50/hour (1250 sq ft, 30 dancer capacity) – Perfect for medium-sized classes and rehearsals.
- Studio 3: $40/hour (915 sq ft, 18 dancer capacity) – Great for smaller groups, private lessons, and individual practice.
Key Holder Fee:
- Please note that rentals scheduled during non-operating hours will incur a $25/hour key holder fee.

Payment Policies: Easy and Convenient
Culture Shock San Diego accepts credit or debit cards for all transactions – MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express are all welcome.
Purchasing Options:
- Online: Drop-in classes and class packages can be conveniently purchased online through our Pike13 platform: cultureshocksandiego.pike13.com.
- In-Person: Visit us at Culture Shock San Diego during business hours to purchase in person.
- By Phone: Call us during business hours at 619-324-4868 to make purchases over the phone.
Gift Certificates:

CSSD General Policies: Respect and Community
Culture Shock San Diego is committed to fostering a positive and respectful environment for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the following policies:
Intellectual Property:
- Culture Shock San Diego® strictly prohibits any recording, reproduction, copying, distribution, or creation of derivative works from our photos, videos, or written materials without explicit written permission.
- Sharing or posting Culture Shock San Diego content online without permission is also prohibited.
- Violation of these rights may result in legal action and statutory damages. We reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies to protect our intellectual property.
Facilities Usage:
- Parking: The parking garage is reserved for Staff and Faculty during their scheduled shifts only. Unauthorized parking will result in towing at the owner’s expense.
- Food & Drink: Absolutely no food or drinks (except bottled water) are allowed inside the dance studios, lobby, and hallways. Gum is also prohibited on CSSD premises.
- Smoking/Vaping: Smoking or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited in or around the building.
- Childcare: Childcare services are not provided. Please ensure children are supervised at all times and do not leave them unattended or blocking hallways. Strollers and chairs should not obstruct hallways or doors. Parents are responsible for their children and any guests they bring.
- Pets: Please refrain from bringing pets into the studio or building (service dogs are permitted).
- Health: Out of respect for others, please stay home if you or your child is feeling unwell.
Studio Etiquette & Traffic Flow:
- Traffic Flow: Please keep doorways, hallways, and passageways clear. Students exiting studios have the right of way. Allow them to exit before entering.
- Observation: Due to class volume, we generally discourage class observation by friends and family, unless a friend is a potential new dancer. Waiting areas are available on the second-floor balcony.
- Personal Belongings: Students are responsible for their belongings. Please avoid bringing valuables to the studio. CSSD is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced items. Lost and Found items are handled at the discretion of CSSD Management.
- Electronics & Wi-Fi: Electrical outlets are for staff use only. Public Wi-Fi is not available.
Class Policies: For a Smooth Dance Experience
- Class Length: All classes are 55 minutes long unless otherwise specified.
- Late Admittance: No admittance is allowed to youth, teen, or adult classes after the first 15 minutes.
- Class Package Usage: Class packages are non-transferable and for use by the purchaser only.
- Package Expiration: Numbered class packages expire four months from the purchase date.
- Refunds: No refunds are offered. Please contact management for special circumstances related to your account.
- Make-up Classes: Make-up classes are not available for missed classes.
- Respect Dance Space: If arriving late, please enter quietly and position yourself at the back of the room without disrupting other students.
- Class Entry: Only paid students are permitted in classes. Parents are not allowed in youth classes unless specifically invited by the instructor.
- Adult Class Content: Adult drop-in classes may contain mature content. We strongly advise against bringing children to adult classes unless permission is granted by management and the instructor.
- Photos/Videos During Class: Photography and videotaping are not allowed during classes without prior permission from management and the instructor.
Cancellation Policies: Understanding Class Changes
- Standard Cancellation: Regularly scheduled drop-in classes may be canceled if fewer than 3 paid students are registered. Registered clients may receive auto-notifications in case of cancellation.
- Drop-in Class Cancellation by Students: Students can cancel their drop-in class booking up to 1 hour before the class start time. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the drop-in fee. For students with class packages, a class may be deducted instead of the fee.
- Special Programs: Cancellation policies for special programs like Master Classes, Workshops, and Summer Camps will be specified for each program.
- General Cancellation: Culture Shock San Diego reserves the right to cancel any class, session, or program at any time for any reason without prior notice.
Discounts and Studio Specials: Save on Your Dance!
- Military Discount (10% Off): We proudly offer a 10% discount to military personnel and their family members on drop-in classes and numbered class packages.
- Financial Aid (50% Off): CSSD Financial Aid clients receive a 50% discount on drop-ins, numbered class packages, and monthly unlimited packages. This discount extends to immediate family members. Clients must reapply for financial aid each calendar year (approvals are valid until December 31st).

*Please note that CSSD does not offer double discounts. If multiple discounts are applicable, dancers must choose one. Discounts cannot be used to purchase for others.
