From the early age of two, dance became the central rhythm of Tabatha’s life. She immersed herself in a diverse range of dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, and pointe, showcasing a dedication that hinted at future aspirations in a Broadway Dance Company. Her passion intensified as she grew, leading her to participate in numerous dance competitions across New York. Throughout these formative years, Tabatha consistently competed in about four to five events annually, diligently refining her techniques and establishing a strong groundwork in both performance and dance artistry.
A defining moment in Tabatha’s dance evolution was the day she spent dancing alongside the Rockettes. This unique experience provided invaluable insights into the rigorous demands and exhilarating atmosphere of professional dance environments, akin to that of a broadway dance company. Furthermore, her acceptance and performance at the esteemed Citrus Bowl stood as a powerful endorsement of her talent and unwavering commitment to dance excellence.
At thirteen, Tabatha transitioned into student teaching, enthusiastically sharing her deep-seated knowledge and love for dance with younger learners. Her involvement extended to her high school years where she enriched the marching band as a member of the dance squad. This role presented her with the memorable opportunity to perform in the 4th of July parade in Washington, D.C., an experience that broadened her performance horizons and instilled a sense of national pride.
Post-college, Tabatha channeled her passion into preschool education, creatively integrating dance and movement into her teaching methodologies. This innovative approach enriched her students’ learning experiences and allowed her to impart her love for dance in a meaningful context. By weaving dance into the curriculum, Tabatha not only aided in developing her young students’ motor skills but also nurtured their creative expression and fostered an enduring appreciation for movement from their earliest years.
