Finding all 15 Lost Encryption Bits in the Pale Heart of Destiny 2 requires thorough exploration. Nine bits are located within Region Chests, and six are hidden within Cysts. Simply patrolling the Pale Heart and engaging with activities like the Alone in the Dark quest will naturally lead you to these locations. Cysts, in particular, are integrated into the Alone in the Dark quest, making it a rewarding activity for bit collection.
Region Chests are distributed across three main areas: Landing, Blooming, and Impasse, with three chests in each location. While marked on the map, some chests are more cleverly concealed than others. Cyst Lost Encryption Bits are found within secret junk piles, often easily accessible after completing the Cyst challenge, allowing for convenient backtracking.
