Ready to take your Lindy Hop skills to the next level? Our Lindy 3 Classes For Dancing are designed for those who have mastered the basics in Lindy 2 and are eager to deepen their understanding and artistry of this vibrant dance. To ensure the best learning environment and class progression, participation in Lindy 3 requires completion of Lindy 2 at least twice and permission from one of our instructors. This class isn’t just about learning new steps; it’s about transforming your dance into a dynamic conversation with your partner.
In Lindy 3, we will introduce you to exciting new moves and expand your dance vocabulary. However, the primary focus shifts towards mastering the art of partnering and structuring your dance. You’ll learn how to smoothly transition between steps, seamlessly combine movements, and start crafting your own unique dance expressions. A key element of this level is developing musicality – learning to “cook and then chill.” This means understanding how to dance to different styles of music, communicate varying levels of intensity to your partner, and truly embody the music in your movement. It’s about making your dance a responsive and engaging dialogue. Just like in Lindy 2, we pack a lot into each session, so dedicated practice outside of class is essential to solidify your learning and accelerate your progress in these classes for dancing.

Special Performance Session!
This session of our Lindy Hop classes for dancing is particularly exciting as it culminates in a student recital on Wednesday, April 9th. Both Lindy 2 and Lindy 3 classes will be working on choreography to perform together as a group. While you’ll still learn new moves and refine your technique, a significant portion of our focus will be on teamwork and polishing our group performance.
The student recital is a highlight for both students and teachers. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain performance experience and share your passion for dance with friends and family who may not be familiar with Lindy Hop. Think of it as a recital, but for adults – we’re serious about learning and less so about taking ourselves too seriously. It’s all about having fun and celebrating our progress in our classes for dancing.
Recital Dates: April 9th, with two show times to accommodate everyone (each class will be divided in half for performance opportunities). There’s also a possibility of adding a performance on Monday, April 7th, or Tuesday, April 8th, depending on class sizes.
Class Schedule:
Wednesdays, February 26th – April 2nd, 9-10pm – Lindy 3 Routine with Hannah and Jon.
Potential Extra Rehearsal Times (Optional): Sunday, April 6th; Monday, April 7th (if no additional recital); and periodic Sundays from 3-5pm throughout the session.

Important Note: Recital sessions are always a bit chaotic, and this year will be no exception – that’s part of the fun! We encourage you to join this session with a positive attitude, ready to support your fellow dancers, and embrace the lighthearted spirit of the event. Our classes for dancing are currently limited to approximately 50 students. If the class becomes fully booked, please email [email protected] to be added to the waitlist. We may be able to open additional classes if there’s enough demand, ensuring more people can enjoy our engaging classes for dancing.
