Hey everyone! Mello here, your friendly host from Ending the Cycle, and I’ve got some exciting news for you! Ready to add a little Distraction Dance to your day? We’re thrilled to announce that the official Ending the Cycle Discord server is officially reopening its doors to new members! We’ve been doing a little spring cleaning (okay, maybe a bit more like a controlled burn – metaphorically speaking!), and now we’re all set to welcome fresh faces into our vibrant online community.
So, you’re thinking about joining the party and adding some distraction dance moves to our server? Awesome! Before you jump in, let’s quickly run through what you need to know to become a part of our amazing group. Think of these as the essential steps to learn the “distraction dance” of our community – easy to follow and crucial for a great experience for everyone.
First things first, we’re looking for active participants to truly bring the server to life. You don’t need to be online 24/7, but we’re hoping to welcome people who are keen to chat, share, and engage with the community. We’re a super welcoming and friendly bunch, and we genuinely can’t wait to get to know you and hear your thoughts. We want people who will jump in and do their own distraction dance with us, not just watch from the sidelines!
Building on that, and to make sure we’re growing our community with people who are already familiar with Ending the Cycle, invitations will primarily be extended to active followers of the blog. If you’re someone who frequently sends in questions, sparks conversations in the comments, or is generally a familiar face in our online space – we’re talking to you! I’ve compiled a list of many of you wonderful folks who are prime candidates, and even a secondary list of those who are a little less active but still on our radar.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, we’ll be adding new members in smaller groups this time. This means we can keep invites open for a longer period and avoid overwhelming the server all at once. Last time, we opened the floodgates a bit too wide, and unfortunately, many new members became inactive shortly after joining. So, if you don’t get an immediate reply to your request, please don’t worry! Your invite might just be coming in the next batch. Think of it as learning a new distraction dance – it takes a little time to get everyone in sync!
Now for a bit of important housekeeping. I reserve the right to decline any request to join, or to remove you from the server at any point if your behavior is disruptive or goes against our community guidelines. Spamming me with requests will unfortunately disqualify you immediately, and could even result in a block depending on the severity. Harassment of any kind is absolutely not tolerated and will result in immediate action. We aim to maintain a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for everyone to hang out and enjoy their time. Disrupting this atmosphere will not be tolerated. However, if you ever decide to leave the server, for any reason, we’ll absolutely respect your decision.
Finally, once you’re accepted into our Discord server and ready to show off your distraction dance moves, we kindly request that you change your nickname to your Tumblr username, or something easily recognizable from the blog. This helps us all connect the dots and know who’s who within our community.
