Ladies of LaVida Performance Team at La Vida Dance Studio
La Vida Dance Studio’s Ladies of LaVida Performance Team is dedicated to developing strong, confident, and high-level female dancers, regardless of when they started dancing. We build technical strength and then create choreography and show-dance routines for performances on local stages.
Dedication is key to joining this team, and progress is guaranteed. This team proves that anyone can start dancing at any age with hard work and passion. Classes blend stretching and cardio with choreography in Fusion, incorporating styles like Ballroom/Latin Fusion, Jazz, and Jazz Funk. Ladies learn two choreography pieces from September through June for stage performances, and another choreography for a summer video project.
Pre-requisite: Beginner to intermediate dance experience (not for complete newcomers). Previous dance experience in any style is a plus. Passion for dance, a desire to learn, and commitment to rehearsals are expected.
Performances take place at various events, including La Vida’s annual show, recitals, local performances, dance video productions, and more.
How to Join: Sign up for a Try-out class ($40) during open enrollment months in September or February. Following the class, you and the instructor will determine if the team is the right fit for you, and vice versa.
