For your convenience, LA Dance Magic accepts payments by check or credit card prior to the event. For at-the-door registrations, we accept cash, credit cards, or cashier’s checks. Please be aware of the following important policies:
- No refunds or cancellations are permitted.
- Only credit cards and cashier’s checks are accepted at the door. Studio or personal checks are not accepted at the door.
- Faculty is subject to change as we strive to bring you the best dance educators in the industry.
- LA Dance Magic reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
- Credit card processing fees are non-refundable.

Know Your Ballroom: Age Categories and Levels at LA Dance Magic
To ensure the best learning environment for all dancers, LA Dance Magic conventions are structured with different ballrooms tailored to specific age groups and skill levels:
- TEACHERS: Studio owners and teachers are welcome to dance and observe in any ballroom and will receive a convention information packet and materials upon registration.
- SENIOR STUDENTS: Designed for intermediate to advanced dancers aged 12 and up. Senior students will primarily dance in the Senior Ballroom.
- TEEN STUDENTS: An intermediate level experience for dancers aged 12-15. Teen students will typically dance in the Teen Ballroom, or in the Senior Ballroom if a designated Teen room is not available at a particular location.
- JUNIOR STUDENTS: Intermediate level classes for dancers aged 7 and up, taking place in the Junior Ballroom.
- BREAKOUT STUDENTS: This ballroom is geared towards dancers aged 12 and up who are newer to conventions or prefer a less intense environment than the Teen/Senior rooms. Often suited for recreational students, the Breakout Ballroom offers a supportive and engaging learning space.
- LADM MAGIC MINIS: “LA DanceMagic is absolutely the best place to introduce your students to convention!” Specifically designed for ages 4 and up, the Magic Minis Ballroom provides a nurturing and fun introduction to the convention experience. Magic Mini registrations include one observer band valid only for the Magic Mini room.
- OBSERVERS: Observer passes are available for parents and guardians of paid students only. Observers are asked to maintain a quiet and respectful environment in the ballrooms. Scholarship auditions are closed to observers to minimize distractions for auditioning dancers.
