Navigating tuition policies is a crucial step when enrolling in any dance academy. At Dda Dance Academy Paramus, we aim to make this process as transparent and convenient as possible. This guide outlines our tuition policies for the academic year, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the investment in your dancer’s education.
Payment Options for Dance Education at DDA Dance Academy Paramus
To accommodate different family needs, DDA Dance Academy Paramus offers two primary payment plans for our dance programs.
Option 1: Payment in Full
For families who prefer to handle tuition upfront, we offer a payment in full option. Payment is due upon registration before September 18th and can be made via cash or check. Families completing full payment registrations before September 23rd are eligible for a 2.5% discount. Please note that this discount excludes our Tiny Tappers, 10 or 15-week programs, adult programs, and music & movement classes.
Option 2: 10-Installment Payment Plan
Alternatively, DDA Dance Academy Paramus provides a 10-installment plan. This option divides the yearly tuition into ten manageable monthly payments, due on the 1st of each month. For your convenience, payments are processed via autopay from a credit/debit card or ACH. The first, ninth, and tenth installments, along with the registration fee, are required upon registration to activate this plan. This installment plan is exclusively for credit/debit/ACH payments.
Class Duration and Extended Class Fees
Our yearly tuition covers approximately 29-32 dance classes throughout the school year, which includes picture day and dress rehearsal participation, excluding fitness classes or our Tiny Tappers program. For classes that extend beyond the standard duration, a one-time extended class fee is applied at registration. This fee is $157 for 1.25-hour classes and $307 for 1.5-hour classes, acknowledging the extended instruction time provided in these specialized classes at DDA Dance Academy Paramus.
Pro-Rated Tuition and Late Enrollment
Tuition adjustments for late enrollment are considered starting November 1st of the program year. Students enrolling between September and November 1st can make up for missed classes from the beginning of the school year within a four-month period from their enrollment date, ensuring they receive the full benefit of their dance education at DDA Dance Academy Paramus.
Account Requirements and Automatic Payments
To streamline the payment process, all accounts at DDA Dance Academy Paramus are required to have a credit/debit card or ACH on file. Monthly installment payments, as well as costume fees and any applicable company dancer expenses, performance fees, or additional company charges, are automatically debited between the 1st and 4th of each month. A $10 late fee is applied for tuition payments not received within the 7-day grace period following the due date.
Please be aware that all credit card purchases are subject to a processing fee ranging from 3.5% to 3.75%.
Checks and Returned Check Policy
If paying by check, please make checks payable to DDA Dance Academy and include the dancer’s name in the memo section. A $45 fee is charged for all returned checks. Please note that checks are not accepted for tuition payments after April 2025.
Maintaining Account Status
To ensure uninterrupted participation in classes, rehearsals, and recitals, all accounts must be current. DDA Dance Academy Paramus reserves the right to withdraw any student due to non-payment of tuition, emphasizing the importance of maintaining an up-to-date account for continued dance education.
Tuition Non-Refundable Policy
Kindly note that all tuition payments are non-refundable. This policy is clearly stated to ensure understanding and agreement upon enrollment at DDA Dance Academy Paramus.
