Her journey, fueled by an unwavering passion, has seen her train under renowned dance instructors and at prestigious professional schools across the United States. While pursuing her BA in English at San Diego State University and contributing to the SDSU dance team, Erin simultaneously honed her skills through professional training and teaching at various arts-focused institutions. This rich and diverse background laid the foundation for her remarkable career and the establishment of her acclaimed studio, Murrieta Dance Project.
Erin’s extensive training opened doors to incredible professional dance opportunities. Her performance credits include collaborations with the iconic Brain Setzer Orchestra, the dynamic Black Eyed Peas, MTV, and celebrated DJs like DJ AM and DJ Aoki. Beyond dance, Erin has also showcased her versatility as a model for brands such as Divine Eyewear, Juicy Couture, and Shuz, and lent her vocal talents to Moonshine Records and One World Entertainment. However, her true calling and enduring passion lie in dance education. With 25 years of teaching experience, Erin has consistently been recognized as a top choreographer in the industry for the last 20 years, a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication.
In 2006, Erin’s deep-seated passion for teaching and her genuine love for children culminated in the creation of Murrieta Dance Project. As the studio’s primary Progressions Instructor, Erin remains dedicated to continuous learning, constantly exploring innovative teaching methodologies and seamlessly integrating classic techniques with cutting-edge dance trends. Her unique gift lies in her ability to deconstruct complex movements, enabling her students to gain a profound understanding of their bodies and movement mechanics. This personalized and insightful approach is a cornerstone of the Murrieta Dance Project experience.
Under Erin’s expert guidance, students from Murrieta Dance Project have consistently achieved remarkable success. They have graced both film and television screens, garnered top awards and prestigious scholarships, and secured representation from leading agents. Murrieta Dance Project alumni have gone on to dance with internationally acclaimed companies such as The Nederlands Dans Theatre, and have been accepted into esteemed institutions like Julliard, Joffery, and the USC Glorya Kauffman School Of Dance. The studio’s influence extends to the professional sports arena, with alumni performing for the LA Lakers and Rams dance teams. Erin’s mentorship has also propelled dancers to prominence on national television, including top 10 finalists on So You Think You Can Dance and the winner of season one of Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. Murrieta Dance Project students have further captivated audiences on shows like America’s Got Talent, Ellen, and Little Big Shots, showcasing the breadth of talent nurtured at the studio.
Erin’s expertise has also been recognized within the dance industry itself. She was a featured choreographer on Lifetime’s Dance Moms, where she and a group of her dancers participated for multiple seasons, further solidifying her reputation and the studio’s visibility. Currently, Erin imparts her knowledge and passion as an instructor for CLI Studios and the Art Of Movement Dance Convention. She also continues to contribute her choreographic talents to significant dance events, including creating opening numbers for Las Vegas dance showcases.
