August 2024

End of Summer Programs:

• August 23 (Friday): Last day of Summer camps.
• August 29 (Thursday): Last day of Summer classes.
• August 30-31: Academy closed.

September 2024

Fall Semester Begins & Special Events:

• September 1-2: Academy Closed for Labor Day weekend.
• September 3 (Tuesday): Fall Classes Begin and Preschool Open House. Please note: No Preschool Activity Camp or Lunch Bunch today.
• September 4 (Wednesday): First day of Preschool, Lunch Bunch, and Preschool Activity Camp.
• September 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27 (Fridays & Tuesdays): Indoor Play Park, 11:30am – 12:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome for this fun activity at Westside Dance & Gymnastics Academy!
• September 14 (Saturday): Parents Night Out – 6:00pm-8:30pm. Enjoy a night off while your kids have fun with us!
• September 21 (Saturday):
  • Elite Tumbling Workshop, 4:45pm-6:15pm. Enhance your tumbling skills with this specialized workshop.
  • Performing Company Picnic. A fun social event for our performing company members.
• September 22 (Sunday): Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice, 1pm-4pm at the Training Center. Practice session for our competitive team.
• September 28 (Saturday): Parents Night Out – 6:00pm-8:30pm. Another opportunity for a fun-filled evening for kids.

October 2024

October Fun & Special Programs:

• October 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29 (Tuesdays & Fridays): Indoor Play Park, 11:30am – 12:30pm. Continue enjoying our popular indoor play sessions.
• October 11 & 25 (Fridays): School’s Out Camp. Check our camp page for detailed information and registration. Perfect for days off school!
• October 12 & 26 (Saturdays): Parents Night Out – 6:00pm-8:30pm. Pre-registration is required for these popular events.
• October 19 (Saturday): Elite Tumbling Workshop, 4:45pm-6:15pm. Advance your tumbling techniques.
• October 20 (Sunday): Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice, 1pm-4pm at the Training Center. Team practice to hone skills.
• October 24-30 (Thursday-Wednesday): Dance Parent Watch Week (Recreational classes only – last 15 minutes of class). An opportunity for parents to observe recreational dance classes.
• October 24-31 (Thursday-Thursday): Halloween Costume Week – wear your costume to class! Celebrate Halloween spirit during classes.
• October 31 (Thursday): Halloween – Academy closes @ 6:00 pm. Please note the early closing time on Halloween.

November 2024

Recital Fees, Holidays, and Nutcracker Events:

• November 1 (Friday): Dance dept. Recital fee due – November EFT. Please ensure recital fees are paid by this date.
• November 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26 (Fridays & Tuesdays): Indoor Play Park, 11:30am – 12:30pm. Fun indoor playtime for kids.
• November 3 (Sunday): Daylight Savings Time – set clocks back. Remember to adjust your clocks!
• November 9 & 23 (Saturdays): Parents Night Out – 6:00pm-8:30pm. Pre-registration required. Book your spot early!
• November 11 (Monday):
  • School’s Out Camp (see camp page for details). Camp program available on Veterans Day.
  • Veterans Day Holiday – Regular Class Schedule / No Preschool or Preschool Activity Camp. Regular classes are held, but no preschool programs.
  • Nutcracker tickets on sale through Dance Ticketing (approximately $22 plus fees). Get your tickets for the Nutcracker performance!
• November 16 (Saturday): Elite Tumbling Workshop, 4:45pm-6:15pm. Further tumbling skill development.
• November 17 (Sunday):
  • Nutcracker Full Cast rehearsal (Express, Troupe, PC) Times TBD – Training Center. Rehearsal for Nutcracker cast members.
  • Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice, 1pm-4pm at the Training Center. Team practice session.
• November 28-30 (Thursday-Saturday): Academy closed – Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday! (Thursday Recreational classes – eligible to schedule 1 make up class).

December 2024

Nutcracker Performances & Winter Break:

• December 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20 (Tuesdays & Fridays): Indoor Play Park, 11:30am – 12:30pm. Indoor play fun continues.
• December 8 (Sunday): Nutcracker Full Cast rehearsal (Express, Troupe, PC) Times TBD – Training Center. Final rehearsals for Nutcracker.
• December 14 (Saturday):
  • Parents Night Out – 6:00pm-8:30pm. Pre-registration required for December’s event.
  • Nutcracker Dress rehearsal (Express, Troupe, PC) Times TBD – Century High School. Dress rehearsal at the performance venue.
• December 15 (Sunday): Nutcracker Performance at Century High School: Show 1 – 12pm / Show 2 – 4pm. Don’t miss the Nutcracker performances!
• December 15 (Sunday): Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice, 1pm-4pm at the Training Center. Team practice session.
• December 22 (Sunday): Last day of gym and dance classes before Winter Break. End of classes before winter holiday break.
  • Winter Drop N Shop 2:30pm – 6:30pm – MAIN BUILDING. Convenient holiday shopping event.
• December 23 & 30 (Mondays): Winter Break camps – MONDAY ONLY (see camp page for details). Limited camp availability during winter break.
• December 23-31: No regular classes (Mon, Fri and Sat Recreational classes – eligible to schedule 1 make up class). No regular classes during the holiday week.
• December 24-29: Academy closed – Happy Holidays! NO PARENTS NIGHT OUT, PARTIES, CAMPS OR CLASSES. Academy fully closed for the main holiday period.
• December 31 (Tuesday): Academy Closed – Happy New Year!

January 2025

New Year & Spring Semester Prep:

• January 1-3: Academy closed. Post-holiday closure.
• January 4 (Saturday): Classes resume (Saturday). Saturday classes restart after the break.
• January 7 (Tuesday): Performing Arts Preschool registration begins for 2025-2026 school year. Registration opens for the next preschool year.
• January 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 31 (Tuesdays & Fridays): Indoor Play Park 11:30am – 12:30pm. Indoor play park sessions continue.
• January 11 & 25 (Saturdays): Parents Night Out – 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Pre-registration required. January Parents Night Out dates.
• January 18 (Saturday): Elite Tumbling Workshop, 4:45pm-6:15pm. Tumbling workshop in the new year.
• January 19 (Sunday): Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice, 1pm-4pm at the Training Center. Team practice in January.
• January 20 (Monday): Martin Luther King Day – Regular Class Schedule. Regular classes are held on MLK Day.

Valentine’s Sale & Camp Registration Opens:

• February 1: Summer CAMP registration begins – NEW EARLIER DATE!! Mark your calendars for summer camp registration!
• February 1-14: Annual Valentine Sale – 20% off all apparel. Great deals on academy apparel for Valentine’s.
• February 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28 (Tuesdays & Fridays): Indoor Play Park 11:30am – 12:30pm. Indoor play park sessions.
• February 8 & 22 (Saturdays): Parents Night Out 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Pre-registration required. February Parents Night Out events.
• February 9 (Sunday): Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice 1pm-4pm at the Training Center (changed from 16th). Note date change for team practice.
• February 15 (Saturday): Elite Tumbling Workshop, 4:45pm-6:15pm. Tumbling workshop in February.
• February 17 (Monday): President’s Day – Regular Class Schedule. Regular classes on President’s Day.

Gym Fest Fees, Recital Sign-Up Deadline & Spring Break:

• March 1 (Saturday): Gym Dept. Academy Gym Fest fee due – March EFT. Gym Fest fees due in March.
  • Last day to sign up for Dance Recital. Deadline to register for the Dance Recital.
• March 1-31: Student Evaluations for Summer (conducted during regular classes). Summer program evaluations during class time.
• March 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21 (Tuesdays & Fridays): Indoor Play Park 11:30am – 12:30pm. Indoor play park fun in March.
• March 8 & 22 (Saturdays): Parents Night Out 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Pre-registration required. March Parents Night Out.

• April 1 (Tuesday): NW Fusion Spring Concert tickets on sale. Tickets for the Spring Concert available for purchase.
• April 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29 (Tuesdays & Fridays): Indoor Play Park 11:30am – 12:30pm. April indoor play park sessions.
• April 8-14: Summer Placements handed out for Recreational students / Summer Schedule available for preview online. Summer program placement information and schedules released.
• April 12 (Saturday):
  • Spring Dance Showcase – TENTATIVE DATE. Date for the Spring Dance Showcase, subject to confirmation.
  • Parents Night Out 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Pre-registration required. April Parents Night Out.
• April 13 (Sunday): Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice 1pm-4pm at the Training Center (changed from 27th). Team practice date change in April.

  • Dance Parent Watch Week (Recreational classes only – last 15 minutes of class). Continues into May.
• May 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30 (Tuesdays & Fridays): Indoor Play Park 11:30am – 12:30pm. Indoor play park in May. (note – May 30th is the last Friday of Indoor Play Park before summer). Last Friday session before summer break.
• May 2-8: All Dance Academy Class Pictures – Main Building. Dance class picture week.
• May 9 (Friday): Acrobatics/Tumbling Class Pictures – Main Building. Acrobatics and Tumbling class pictures.
• May 10 (Saturday): All Gym Academy Class Pictures – Main Building. Gym class picture day.
  • Parents Night Out 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Pre-registration required. May Parents Night Out event.
• May 11 (Sunday): Mother’s Day – Academy open for regular classes. Regular classes on Mother’s Day.
• May 12-18: All Gym Academy Class Pictures – Main Building. Gym class picture week continuation.
• May 18 (Sunday): Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice 1pm-4pm at the Training Center. Team practice in May.

• May 24-26 (Saturday-Monday): Academy closed for Memorial Weekend (Fri, Sat and Sun classes – eligible to schedule 1 make up). Memorial Day weekend closure. NO Parents Night Out/Parties – CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL WEEKEND. No events during Memorial Day weekend.
• May 29 (Wednesday): Last Wednesday of Crawlers and Cruisers Play Group 9:30am – 10:20am. Walk ins welcome. Final session of this playgroup before summer.

June 2025

Gym Fest, Recitals & Summer Programs Kick-Off:

  • Acrobatics and Tumbling Travel Team Practice 1pm-4pm – Training Center / All Team Year End party. Team practice and year-end celebration.
• June 23-26 (Monday-Thursday): Boys and Girls Artistic Gymnastics Team Camp. Gymnastics team camp.
• June 28-29 (Saturday-Sunday): Academy CLOSED (No Parents Night out or Parties). Weekend closure in June.
• June 30 (Monday): Xcel Team Camp and Acrobatics and Tumbling Team Camp. Team camps continue.

July 2025

Summer Camps & Classes Continue:

• July 1-3 (Tuesday-Thursday): Academy open for camps and team gymnastics groups. Summer programs in full swing. Xcel Team Camp and Acrobatics and Tumbling Team Camp continue.
• July 4 (Friday): Academy closed – Happy 4th of July. Independence Day closure.
• July 5 (Saturday): Summer classes begin (Saturday). Summer classes commence.
• July 12 & 26 (Saturdays): Parents Night Out 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Pre-registration required. July Parents Night Out events.

August 2025

Summer Programs End & New School Year Registration:

• August 5 (Tuesday): Registration begins for classes for the new school year September 2025-June 2026. Registration opens for the next academic year’s classes.
• August 9 & 23 (Saturdays): Parents Night Out 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Pre-registration required. August Parents Night Out events.
