Dance Dance Chelonian! Quest Walkthrough

Step 1: Assist the Hoartoise in Battle

Upon arriving at the designated quest location on Mt. Firmament, you’ll immediately encounter a friendly Hoartoise under attack. Two Fusion Dreadmane enemies will be engaging the Hoartoise. Your first task is to defeat these Dreadmanes and protect your new Hoartoise ally. Focus your attacks on the Dreadmanes, utilizing your combat skills to quickly eliminate them and ensure the Hoartoise’s safety.

Step 2: Follow the Dancing Hoartoise

After successfully defending the Hoartoise, a short cutscene will play, introducing you further to this unique creature. Once the cutscene concludes, the Hoartoise will begin to move. Follow the Hoartoise as it travels to the next quest location. A quest indicator will be clearly marked to guide you, making it easy to keep pace with your new dancing friend.

Pay close attention to the quest indicator. This marker will consistently update, showing you the precise path to follow and ensuring you remain on track as the Hoartoise leads you through Mt. Firmament.

Step 3: Help the Hoartoise Defeat the Wolves – Round Two

Following the Hoartoise will lead you to another encounter. This time, the Hoartoise is facing even greater danger. You’ll find it engaged in combat with two Fusion Dreadmanes and a more powerful Havoc Dreadmane. Engage these enemies, prioritizing the Havoc Dreadmane due to its increased strength. Defeat all the wolves to proceed further in the Dance Dance Chelonian! side quest.

Step 4: Rescue the Hoartoise’s Friend

The Hoartoise, grateful for your assistance, will move once more, this time to a location nearby. Continue to follow it. You will discover that the Hoartoise is rushing to the aid of a friend who has been cornered by a pack of Dreadmanes.

This encounter features an even larger group of enemies: two Fusion Dreadmanes, a Havoc Dreadmane, and a Glacio Dreadmane. This is the final combat encounter of the quest. Defeat this last wave of enemies to successfully save the Hoartoise’s friend and complete this combat section of the side quest.

Step 5: Follow the Reunited Hoartoise Duo

With both Hoartoises now safe and reunited, they will leave behind a dropped note for you. Read the note to gain further context for the quest. After reading the note, follow the two Hoartoises as they retrace their steps back to the location where you first encountered the initial fighting Hoartoise.

Step 6: Complete the Rhythm Mini-Game Challenge

Upon returning to the initial quest area, you’ll find the two Hoartoises dancing joyfully next to a locked musical instrument. To unlock the instrument and progress the quest, you must participate in a rhythm mini-game.

During the mini-game, button prompts will appear on screen as frequencies move towards the indicator in the center. Press the correct button precisely when the frequency aligns with the indicator to succeed. Successfully completing this rhythm challenge is key to unlocking the instrument and moving forward.

Step 7: Claim the Unlocked Instrument and Quest Completion

After mastering the rhythm mini-game, the instrument will be unlocked. Interact with the pedestal to collect the instrument. Claiming the instrument marks the completion of the Dance Dance Chelonian! side quest.
