Avanti Dance Company Policies: Class Attendance and Guidelines

Welcome to Avanti Dance Company! To ensure a smooth and enriching experience for all our dancers, we have established clear policies regarding class attendance. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines.

Class Check-In Procedures

For our younger dancers, specifically those under the age of seven, parent check-in is required. We kindly ask parents to check in their child at the front desk or conveniently utilize one of our designated iPads upon arrival. Dancers who are seven years old and above are permitted to check themselves in, provided they are familiar with the primary phone number associated with their account. This streamlined process helps us maintain accurate attendance records and ensures the safety of all students at Avanti Dance Company.

Make-Up Class Policy

We understand that conflicts can arise, causing students to miss a class. At Avanti Dance Company, we offer a flexible make-up class policy to help students stay on track with their dance education. Students have a 30-day window from the date of absence to schedule and attend a make-up class, as long as they are currently enrolled. Please note that once enrollment is cancelled, any unused make-up classes are forfeited and cannot be transferred to another student. Attendance and Absences

Consistent attendance is crucial for progress in dance. Excessive unexcused absences can unfortunately impact a student’s place in a class, particularly in our popular, full-capacity classes at Avanti Dance Company. If a student accumulates three or more consecutive unexcused absences, or misses the same class five or more times within a two-month period, Avanti Dance Company reserves the right to drop the student from that specific class. This measure ensures that students on our waitlists have the opportunity to join classes with available spaces, maximizing participation and engagement for everyone.

Holiday Schedule

Avanti Dance Company’s schedule may not always align with area school closures during holidays. Therefore, we advise all students and parents to verify our operating schedule, even if local schools are closed. The most reliable way to confirm class schedules during holidays is to contact the studio directly by phone or to visit our official website: www.avantidancecompany.com. In the event of class cancellations due to holidays or unforeseen circumstances, Avanti Dance Company will promptly send out notifications via email and post updates on our website.

Policy on Late Arrival

Punctuality is valued at Avanti Dance Company to minimize disruption to classes and to ensure that all students benefit from the full instructional time. To maintain a focused learning environment, dancers arriving more than 10 minutes after a class has commenced may be restricted from joining the class. The decision to permit late entry rests with the discretion of the instructor. In some cases, students arriving late may be invited to observe the class only, either in the studio at the instructor’s discretion or from the lobby area. If you anticipate being late for a class, we kindly request that you call the studio to inform us, allowing us to notify the instructor in advance.
